Actor as well as singer – he studied also acting -, Jean-François Vinciguerra resumed his singing studies at the CNSM in Paris in Michel Roux’s class, then at the the Atelier Lyrique of the Paris Opera, led by Michel Sénéchal. With this double background, he quickly stood out on most stages: Bastille Opera, Opéra Comique, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Avignon, Saint-Etienne, Metz, Reims, Tours, Marseille, Rennes, Limoges, Nantes, Nice, Rouen, Toulon… He has also been invited abroad: Monte-Carlo, Liège, Seoul, New Delhi, Lisbon…

Among his vast repertoire, let us quote Bartolo (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Dulcamara (L’Elisir d’amore), Jupiter (Platée), Méphistophélès (Faust), the Four Vilains (The Tales of Hoffmann), the Count Capulet (Romeo and Juliet), Don Pedro (Beatrice and Benedict), Geronte di Ravoir (Manon Lescaut), as well as Tourillon / Frank (La Chauve-Souris), Popoff (La Veuve Joyeuse), Baron de Gondremarck (La Vie parisienne), the Viceroy (La Périchole), Jupiter (Orphée aux Enfers), General Boum (La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein), Calchas (La Belle Hélène)…

During the last seasons, he sang Frank in Lausanne, Tourillon in Marseille (La Chauve-Souris), Valentin (Le Petit Faust, which he also staged) in Marseille, Baron de Gondemarck (La Vie parisienne) in Nice, Merlin (The Knights of the Round Table, which he also staged) in Lausanne, Colonel Pickering (My Fair Lady) in Marseille, the King of Bavaria (Fantasio) in Rouen, Monterone (Rigoletto) in Antibes.

Let us also mention in particular the creation of a musical show Opera en Folie ou Passe ton Bach d’abord ! at the Théâtre de Cusset, Alidoro (La Cenerentola) with the Lyon Chamber Orchestra and Cacatois XXII (L’Île de Tulipatan, which he will stage) in Vichy, as well as of the Duchess of Crakentorp (The Daughter of the Regiment) in Monte-Carlo.
