After studying singing at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, Avi Klemberg was noticed during the creation of L’Autre Côté by Bruno Mantovani at the Opéra du Rhin, then at the Cité de la Musique.

He then sang the roles of Alfredo (La Traviata) at the Besançon Opera, Flavio (Norma) at the Saint-Etienne Opera, Pâris (La Belle Hélène) at the Folies d’O Festival in Montpellier, Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) at the Massy Opera and the Grand Théâtre de Tours, Belfiore (La Finta Giardiniera) at the Freiburg Opera and at the Besançon Opera, Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte) at the Opéra de Toulon, Prince Paul (La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein) at the Opéra de Montpellier, the Italian Singer (Der Rosenkavalier) at the Opéra de Marseille, Cassio (Otello) at the Opéra National de Lorraine, Achilles (Iphigénie en Aulide) at the Opéra du Rhin.

He made his debut in Italy with the role of Achilles at the Rome Opera under the direction of Riccardo Muti, then sang Rodolfo (La Bohème) with the Scottish National Opera, Tavannes (Les Huguenots) at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie and the Opéra du Rhin, Ruggiero (La Rondine) at the Opéra de Nancy, as well as the Chevalier de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites) at the Opéra de Saint-Etienne.

In concert, he sang Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at the Cirque d’Hiver, the Reciter (L’Enfance du Christ) at the Toulon Opera, Dvorak’s Stabat Mater at the Grand Théâtre de Tours, the Messa di Gloria in Rishon LeZion and at the Tel Aviv Opera, as well as Verdi’s Requiem with the Orchestre National de Lorraine.

Most recently, he performed Arturo (Lucia di Lammermoor) on tour with Opéra Nomade and Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) at the Opéra Grand Avignon.

His projects include Don José (Carmen) with the Labopéra Bourgogne, and a concert for peace at the Théâtre du Léman.
