Native of La Cañada, Alex Rosen studied at the Juilliard School in New York. He is quickly finding a home in the concert and operatic repertoire in the United States and abroad, by singing Händel’s Messiah with Portland Baroque Orchestra and Houston Symphony Orchestra. He made his New York Philharmonic debut in Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, and a European tour of Haydn’s Die Schöpfung with Les Arts Florissants.

He appeared also as Seneca (L’incoronazione di Poppea) with Cincinnati Opera, in a reprise of Die Schöpfung and in a concert version of Acis and Galatea with Les Arts Florissants, where he sang the role of Polyphemus.

His last seasons includes a second reprise of Die Schöpfung in Metz and a tour of Bach’s Die Johannes-Passion with Les Arts Florissants. He sang also the role of Farasmane (Radamisto) with Opera Lafayette, as well as Cadmus/Somnus (Semele) in Philadephia, and Caronte (Orfeo by Monteverdi) with the Nederlandse Reisopera.

Recently, he sang Tuffaldino (Ariadne auf Naxos) at the Liceu in Barcelona.

Among his projects : the roles of Tempo/Nettuno/Antinoo (Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria) in Basel.
